Protect Yourself from Recruitment Fraud
What is Recruitment Fraud?
Recruitment fraud is when scammers impersonate employers, such as SSM Health, and offer fake job opportunities and job offers to job seekers. Recruitment fraud typically occurs through emails but may also occur on social media, such as LinkedIn or on specially crafted websites that mimic real employers.
Scammers conduct recruitment fraud to steal your personal information and banking information.

How to Avoid Recruitment Fraud
Please be aware of email scams and fake job postings from individuals impersonating SSM Health. These individuals have been known to create fake job postings, send fake job offers, and impersonate SSM Health recruiters. There are a few ways to tell if a job offer is real:
- SSM Health will NEVER make a job offer unless you have already submitted an application for a job through our Career Site, jobs.ssmhealth.com, and have completed the interview process.
- SSM Health recruiters will NEVER ask for your personal financial or health information through email, social media, or other messaging apps.
- SSM Health will NEVER ask you to purchase equipment or gift cards on your own behalf.
- SSM Health will NEVER send or request money as a condition of employment.
- Email communications from SSM Health recruiters will ALWAYS end with "@ssmhealth.com” or “@careeralerts.ssmhealth.com.”
- SSM Health recruiters may also communicate via SSM Health’s official social media channels and via phone calls and text messaging.
- After the recruitment phase, third-party websites and email addresses may be used to coordinate interviews and complete the application and hiring process. You can learn more about our hiring process by visiting our Hiring Process page.
What to Do If You Are a Victim of Recruitment Fraud
