International Nurses Hiring Process
- Submit an initial application through our International Nurse Quick Apply Form.
- Your application will be reviewed within one business day. If selected to move forward, you will receive an email with a link to an on-demand video interview.
- You will receive an email notifying you if we have continued our search or if the position has been filled. We encourage you to continue exploring SSM Health opportunities or you can join our talent network to get tailored job recommendations based on your interest.
- When selected for an interview, you will receive a link to an on-demand video interview through HireVue.
- If you are selected as the final candidate after the interview process, a recruiter will contact you by phone to extend a verbal offer of employment.
- A written job offer will also be emailed explaining the details of the conversation. The offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all aspects of the SSM Health pre-employment process.
- SSM Health requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This requirement applies to all employees, including those who work in non-clinical settings or remotely.
- The SSM Health immigration attorney, Fragomen, will contact you to begin filing the necessary Visa paperwork.
- You will follow the immigration process, which can take 9 – 18 months.
- You will get issued the appropriate work visa once this is completed.
- You will work with the SSM Health International Nurse Recruitment team to finalize your specialty, hospital, unit, and travel arrangements to SSM Health.
- You are now ready to start orientation.

After your international nurse agreement, you will be eligible to choose from several Flexible Nursing Options at SSM Health with hourly ranges up to $70 per hour.
