Performs basic nursing care to patients by reviewing the assigned patient(s) plan of care and pertinent active orders in the patient medical record prior to providing care.
Assists assigned patients with activities of daily living, nutrition, and hydration according to orders and goals of care.
Reports relevant assessment findings and suggestions to enhance patient care directly to members of the interdisciplinary team in addition to the supervising Registered Nurse (RN).
Contributes to the overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that positively impact patient care.
Communicates effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients, and family members.
Educates patients and family members so they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
