Job Details
- Explains procedures to patient to ensure understanding. Provides appropriate educational materials.
- Transports patients to and from clinical areas and assists technologists with preparing patient for exam.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents.
- Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
- May perform limited CT procedures in emergent situations when CT Technologist is not on site.
Requirements
- BLS obtained within 90 of hire
- ARRT-R - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) within six (6) months of hire date or other Radiology licensure required by state or work
