Job Details
- Prepares specimens for analysis.
- Establishes and implements a system for receipt, identification, and control of specimens.
- Selects, performs, monitors, and evaluates cytochemical procedures for assessing cellular constituents.
- Examines microscopically stained smears for evidence of malignancy or abnormalities, marking suspicious cells on slides for evaluation by the pathologist.
- Prepares reagents according to prescribed direction; maintains reagent log and control system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education
- CT (ASCP) Certification or obtain certification within six (6) months of hire date
