Program Overview
Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) work alongside nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting. SSM Health is seeking qualified individuals who want to attend training for work as a full time CNA. The self-paced accelerated training program combines 59 hours of online coursework followed by 16 hours of clinical training.
After completion of the training program and successfully passing the state Nurse Aide exam, employees will be expected to work as a CNA at SSM Health in a full-time position for a minimum of 12 months. Graduates are required to fulfill a 24-month work commitment after successful program completion. Failure to complete the 24-month work commitment requires reimbursement for the full cost of the program.
Program Benefits
There are no out-of-pocket costs for the student as this is a grant funded program. Student computer loan program is also available at no cost.
